Language versions. This is a translation of the Polish original and is provided for information. The binding version is the Polish one: /pl/legal/accessibility. That precedence does not deprive a consumer of any right under mandatory provisions of law — including the mandatory provisions of the law of the country of their habitual residence, where the applicable conflict-of-law rules give them that protection — and it does not limit anyone's rights against the party responsible in a given situation (§17.2 and §19.3 of the Terms).
1. Vantior operating policy
Vantior Books adopts the full accessibility baseline for e-commerce and electronic books irrespective of whether, at a given moment, it benefits from the micro-enterprise exemption under Article 4(1) of the Polish Accessibility Act.
Practical effect:
- micro-enterprise status is recorded as a legal qualification, but is not a condition for starting accessibility work or for choosing the implementation variant;
- the website, the checkout-facing UX on the Vantior side, the Library, the reader, the audiobook player and the published files are designed for accessibility as a product standard;
- the micro-enterprise exemption, if it is formally confirmed, may not be used to justify knowingly degrading accessibility;
- we do not publicly declare full conformity with a specific technical standard without a real audit and evidence.
2. Scope of the service
Vantior Books offers electronic commerce and the dissemination of electronic books, together with related account, Library, web reader, audiobook and support functions. The Polish Accessibility Act covers, among others, e-commerce services and the dissemination of electronic books.
Application of the accessibility act to Vantior: Vantior Group Dawid Pągowski is a micro-entrepreneur within the meaning of Article 7(1)(1) of the Entrepreneurs' Law (the owner's statement, as at 14.10.2026). Under Article 4(1) of the Act of 26 April 2024 on ensuring compliance with the accessibility requirements of certain products and services by economic operators (Journal of Laws 2024 item 731), the act does not apply to micro-entrepreneurs providing services. We nevertheless keep the accessibility baseline described in point 3 and accept reports as set out in point 5. If the micro-entrepreneur status ends, we will update this information.
3. Mandatory accessibility baseline
Before an activated module is launched publicly, at least the following are required:
- keyboard operation without focus traps;
- correct HTML semantics and accessible names for controls;
- a visible focus indicator;
- adequate contrast and no information conveyed by colour alone;
- correct form and error labels;
- a logical order of headings and landmarks;
- respecting prefers-reduced-motion;
- responsiveness and content zoom without loss of basic functions;
- accessible status/error/success messages;
- a screen reader test at least for the critical flows;
- for EPUB: structure, navigation, reading order, accessibility metadata and interoperability with assistive technologies to the extent appropriate for the format;
- for audio content: accessibility of metadata and controls; a transcript/text alternative is assessed per product and per legal requirement/use case;
- checkout and payments: accessible elements on the Vantior side; Paddle components are also subject to the provider's own mechanisms and review.
4. Known limitations
As at 14.10.2026. An automated review (axe-core 4.13, WCAG 2.2 A and AA criteria) covered the home page, the catalogue, a book page, the cart, the checkout, the legal documents, the contact page and sign-in and the account. The problems found — insufficient contrast of small text, a missing accessible name of the filters toggle on phones and a too small touch target of one link — were fixed the same day; a repeated review of these pages found no violations.
Known limitations:
- a manual review with a screen reader has not been carried out yet;
- the in-browser e-book reader, the audiobook player and Paddle's payment window were not covered by the review (the payment window is subject to Paddle's own accessibility measures);
- the accessibility of the EPUB and PDF files themselves depends on the edition — we state it for the specific publication.
Limitations reported by users are added here.
5. Contact and complaints
Accessibility reports: contact@vantior.eu, telephone: +48 511 811 635, address: ul. Świętego Mikołaja 8/11/208, 50-125 Wrocław, Poland.
A complaint should state the person making it, the preferred contact channel, the service/product, the accessibility requirement that is not met and the request.
As a rule we reply within 30 days of receiving the complaint. In a particularly complex case, where the 30-day period cannot be met, we inform you within that period of the reason and of a new period no longer than 60 days from receipt of the complaint.
If the 30-day period, or a properly extended period of up to 60 days, is not met, the complaint is deemed to have been resolved in accordance with the complainant's request. The request is to be satisfied within a period no longer than 6 months from the day the complaint was received.
